Ever had a dream so real?

As my feet lift off from the ground,
A heart clenching fear is what's all around,
and I'm lifted further into the sky,
and then I open my wings and begin to fly,
the darkness surrounds me and I go invisible,
call it a trip, call it a sabbatical,

Have you ever had a dream so real,
when you wake up, the sensations you can still feel,
like a half-lived life somewhere,
what's real here is a dream there,

I see the ground below me,
and light-years of dark space,
I seek the greater truth,
and give life a good chase,
I breathe the cool air,
indulge in the tranquility,
I flap my wings faster
and think about what I used to be,
and soon I approach the tree of life,
I find my answers ahead,
for all the withered leaves and broken branches,
it might as well be dead,

Have you ever had a dream so real,
where you have felt the sorrow and the thrill,
like a half-lived somewhere,
what's a dream here is real there,

I'm lightheaded and I'm dizzy,
my eyes small and my heart's beating crazy,
death mocks me as I begin to fall down,
I close my eyes listening to the whistling breeze all around,
soon after, I hear a deafening splash,
and my body hurts from the impact of the smash,
my eyes flash open and I see both reality,
I see my room imprinted amidst my vision of the sea,
and the room gets more vivid as I become aware of my sprawled body,
while in another life,
I lose my consciousness and sink deeper into that sea,

Now tell me have you ever had a dream so real?
when you wake up, the sensations you can still feel,

like a half-lived life somewhere,
you wake up here but you die there.
